The food here is always fantastic and the fish is fresh. The portions are so big. You can easily share a plate. Don't be worried about the long line, it moves really quickly. They do not do assign table so you just sit at whatever table is available after you order. I come here every time we're on Maui. Highly recommend.

This place is machine! Long line only because it's so good! Freshest fish we had on the island. Line moves quick and food comes out quicker.

Always a must stop place for us when we are visiting Maui. We tried to come here on a weeknight at dinner time but the line was out the door around the corner and on to the street. We didn't have the patience for that kind of wait to we came back the next day around 3:30 pm and it was much quieter and faster to get food and seating. The Mahi here is just perfect, I got it as a burger and you are still getting a solid chunk of fish in there for the price. The fries are surprisingly good as well, decently thin and crispy.

Paia was close to where we stayed so we stopped by around dinner time and there was a line out the door. This is always a good sign. We got the blackened opakapaka (fish of the night) and the mahi mahi burger. I got it prepped blackened because that's what Yelp recommended, but I think I would have preferred it sautéed because I love garlic. The blackened just wasn't my favorite, but not bad either. The burger was really good. The mahi mahi is more tender than the opakapaka so it was my favorite. The only weird thing about the burger was that they used shredded Mexican cheese which I thought was an odd choice for the cheese. Regardless, really fresh seafood and the sides were great too!

I had heard nothing but rave reviews about Paia Fish Market, so it quickly made its way onto my must-visit list for our Maui trip. When we finally had the chance to dine there for lunch, it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is small and casual, with a laid-back atmosphere that feels like the perfect spot to enjoy fresh seafood. There's convenient parking available at the back, which made getting there a breeze. We ordered several dishes, including the fried calamari, blackened mahi mahi served with Cajun rice and coleslaw, and a fish burger. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy and had just the right amount of flavor, making it an excellent start to our meal. The blackened mahi mahi was expertly seasoned, and the Cajun rice and coleslaw complemented it wonderfully. The fish burger was another highlight--juicy and flavorful, with the fish cooked to perfection. I'm so glad we didn't miss out on this gem of a place. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality and portions you get. If you're ever in Maui, Paia Fish Market is an absolute must-visit--it's a true local favorite and a standout in the area!

This was one of the best meals we had in Maui. I would recommend having the dinner plate with cajun rice and house potatoes. You get to choose the fish from Ono, Salmon, Mahi Mahi and Pink Snapper. The salmon and snapper are a bit more expensive and everything in dinner plate is market price. You can pay a different amount based on the night. Now the place was super crowded even at 6:30pm, it took us 45 minutes to get to the counter. However post ordering the food came out within 10 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. There was also ample picnic style seating in the restaurant. The fish was super flake and tasty and the rice and potatoes were well seasoned. Two plates cost us ~$60. I would visit again but would probably order takeout to save on the long wait times.

I have to say this is my favorite restaurant on Maui, both locations, and now, I found a location in Oahu, also. Paia serves the freshest fish prepared in your choice of methods including: charbroiled, sautéed in garlic, blackened Cajun (highly recommended)! Fantastic!! The home potatoes are great and plentiful. The rice is flavorful and plentiful. The fish is a large portion and perfectly prepared. The servers are professional, proficient and personable. The ambiance is casual and spacious, nicely decorated and clear. I always will go to Paia Fish market whenever I visit Hawaii.

On our trip to Maui we had a BUNCH of good food but when we had lunch at Paia it was beyond good. Like many spots throughout Maui, this place was counter service but the people at the front all the way to the food runners were very nice and welcoming. The seating is also outdoor only but that's not really an issue when the weather is always nice. The ambiance is very chill and laid back which is honestly what one really needs when on vacation. We ordered the Mahi Mahi Burger with some fries and the fish was honestly cooked to perfection. The Cajun style Mahi Mahi was honestly one of the best seasoned and cook pieces of fish that we've ever had. The rice was also really good and packed with flavor. Definitely would've loved to try their other restaurant but this one low key exceeded our expectations. Paia is a MUST when being in Maui.

Grabbed dinner here based on all the positive Yelp reviews--it definitely did not disappoint! You have many options of locally sourced fish to choose from and they can be prepared in many different ways. I found the snapper cooked blackened Cajun style to be my favorite. The food is cooked to perfection! The line is long but the food comes out quickly. The ambiance is super casual and you will likely sit on park bench style tables with other diners. I found this to be a great spot!
